This type of leather is a bit peculiar, in that it lacks the most distinct property of other leather types: reflections. In a sense, it is closer to fabric-type materials than it is to shiny leather.

As you would with fabrics, use a Falloff map in the Diffuse slot. The Falloff curve is left as is, while the second Falloff color is a mix between the suede texture and the dominant color in that same texture. In this case, it’s beige; for other colors of suede, it needs to be changed it to whatever shade you are using.

These reflections look weak and blurry. Use a basic grayscale suede/leather texture with low contrast.

Bump is the most important element here. In this particular material, it is a good idea to use a normal map that is uneven in appearance. Some areas are derived directly from the Diffuse texture and have a rough, raw leather look. Others are much smoother. This patch look gives suede its distinctive look. View the closeup below to see the effect in action.

Use a soft wrinkle map for additional Bump to make this look a bit more natural. Since leather is very thick and stiff, avoid using a map with sharp, small wrinkles.
