A basic, unfinished wood material is quite simple. All you need to understand is the growth rings, and how they usually affect the appearance of wood. Most trees have darker, denser grain lines or lighter, softer grain lines. The darker ones are usually slightly deeper than the surface and they are also harder, which makes them more reflective and more glossy. This means that the grain lines in the Bump map should be dark, while in the reflection and glossiness maps they should be light.
Here is our map setup. Overall, the reflections are quite blurred. Fresnel IOR can be adjusted from ~2 to 6. There are no hard rules here, so just do it by eye.
