As a seller, you belong to a SquidLevel based on your lifetime sales volume. Your benefits are based on your SquidLevel and on whether you have committed to exclusivity with the SquidGuild. Publish and sell more products to move up the SquidLevels and earn additional benefits.

If you are opted-in to Data Licensing, your Royalty Rate for Data Licensing will be based on your Data Licensing Partner Program status.

Data Licensing Partner Program

Your royalty rate for Data Licensing payouts for Data Deals completed after the launch of the Data Licensing Partner Program is based on eligibility for the Data Licensing Partner Program.

In order to be eligible for the Data Licensing Partner Program, you must have uploaded at least 12 Qualifying Assets* within the last ninety (90) days that are still active and online.

*”Qualifying Assets” are assets that are: (i) listed and available online; (ii) include GLB or GLTF; (iii) include USD or USDZ; (iv) not AI-generated; and (v) not spam, a trivial variant, or artificially split content.

AI-generated content, spam/mass variants, trivial variants, artificially split products, and other attempts to manipulate qualification do not qualify. TAQ approval is not required before qualification, but Shutterstock will use manual sampling, automated inspection, and post-qualification review to identify abuse; confirmed abuse may result in temporary or permanent loss of Partner Status.

Collections are excluded from asset counts for determining Data Licensing Partner status. Bundles do not count, but the individual assets in bundles are counted for Data Licensing Partner status.

Data Licensing Partner Program participation and SquidLevel qualification are evaluated independently. Data licenses will not count towards your SquidLevel and TurboSquid sales will not count towards your Data Licensing Partner Program level.

Data Licensing Partner Program eligibility is calculated on a quarterly basis, once per calendar quarter.
